Terms of Service

1. Service Description

The Service indexes your X data — likes, bookmarks, and posts you have written or reposted, depending on your plan — to make it searchable for your personal use. You must authenticate via X OAuth to grant access.

2. X Platform

Vagary operates under X's Developer Agreement and Developer Policy, and content synced from X remains subject to X's Terms of Service. By using the Service, including through the API or an AI assistant connected to your account, you agree to those terms and all applicable laws as well. The Service depends on X's API and may be suspended or ended if that access changes.

3. Plans and Billing

Pro is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel from the billing portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Payments, including pre-paid months, are non-refundable. Pre-paid months grant their credits immediately, and a later cancellation takes effect when the pre-paid months end. We may revoke credits granted for a payment that is charged back, and may change prices with notice.

Syncing is metered by monthly credits, shown in the app as the number of likes or interactions you can sync, and different feeds may cost different amounts. Credits expire on your reset day, except history-import credits, which roll over. When credits run out, syncing pauses until they renew. Current plans and amounts are on the plans page.

4. API and Connected Apps

Pro includes API access for command-line tools and AI assistants you connect to your account. You are responsible for what any connected app does with your data, including where it sends your results. Access is rate-limited and may be revoked by you or by us at any time.

5. Data Usage

We process your content, including with third-party providers acting on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your data. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service. Do not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service.

7. Limitations of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or inaccuracies arising from use. Our total liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations. You can delete your account in settings at any time; any subscription ends without refund.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Delaware law. Disputes resolved in Delaware courts.
